Surviving comrades of Dr. L. S. Smith, of Edgefield, S. C., who enlisted in October, 1862, as a member of Captain Gennett's company of the engineering corps of South Carolina, C. S. A., and served until the surrender, are asked to communicate with his daughter, Mrs. Thomas O. Baker, 148 Hill Street, Atlanta, Ga., who wishes to establish his record as a soldier of the Confederacy. This engineering corps was under General Beauregard.
