S. Owsley, of Middlesborough, Ky., makes inquiry in the interest of Thomas W. Bowers, who is trying to secure a pension and needs the testimony of some surviving comrade who can help him establish his record. Mr. Bowers enlisted at Brownsville, Tenn., in Capt. Jim Haywood's company (second captain, B. T. Davis), 7th Tennessee Regiment (under Colonel Duckworth), Forrest's Cavalry.
