Mrs. H. J. G. Cowan, No. 121 Lewis St., Capitol Heights, Montgomery, Ala., wishes to secure information of the war record of her husband, John David Cowan, who served with the 38th Alabama Infantry, either in the commissary or ordnance department, in the years 1863-4-5. She will appreciate hearing from any surviving comrades, as she is in need of a pension.
