Frank H. Foote, 1516 Monroe Street, Vicksburg, MIss., asks that some member of the following regiments, 17th Louisiana, 31st Louisiana, 4th Mississippi, and 46th Mississippi, comprising Baldwin's Brigade at the siege and defense of Vicksburg, please locate for him as nearly as possible the site of Baldwin's headquarters, what regiment it was near, etc.
