Martin V. Gander, of Luray, Va., wants to know if there are any surviving members of the 39th Battalion of Gen. R. E. Lee's Scouts and Couriers. Major Richardson commanded the Battalion, and the companies were: A, Captain Piper; B. Page; C, Captain Brown.
