I announce myself a candidate for Commissioner of the Revenue for the South District of Scott County. I have been a private in Co. D, 37th Va. Regiment, from the commencement of the war; and as I have no chance to see the voters of the county, I must submit my name for the office, and leave it to the voters to say whether they consider me worthy their confidence and support.
