F. M. Jenkins died June 24, 1914, at Chipley, Ga., aged eighty-one years. He served in Company D, 3d Georgia Cavalry. He was a brave Confederate soldier and for four years sttod heroically as one of Joe Wheeler's cavalrymen. After the war he devoted his energies to farm life, in which he was very successful. He was agood citizen and a consistent member of the Baptist Church.
