Dr. W. J. Stevenson, of Groveton, Tex., wants to establish the war record of J. S. Kemper, who enlisted from Franklin, La., in March, 1862, in Company G, 13th Louisiana Regiment. He served in Adam's Brigade, Breckinridge's Division, of Bragg's army. He was made prisoner near the close of the war. This information is sought in order to secure his widow a pension.
