George A. Lamar, who died at the home of his brother, J. C. Lamar, in Adamstown, Frederick County, Md., aged seventy-six, was a member of Col. E. V. White's Battalion, Company B, which was composed of all Marylanders. He was wounded in a cavalry charge in Lovettesville, Va. After the war he returned to Maryland and became one of our best citizens, always working for honesty and truth. He will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends. He was always fond of the Confederate Veteran and looked forward to its coming each month. [C. J. Lamar.]
