Mrs. Elizabeth McGuire Crittenden, Union Springs, Ala, Box 83, wishes to secure the record of her grandfather, John G. McGuire, who was born in Norfolk, Va., in 1818, and died in Knoxville, Tenn., in 1863, either of wounds or disease contracted in the Confederate service. It is her information that he served under Col. David M. Cummings of the 19th Tennessee Regiment. Her father was also a Confederate soldier.
