Miss Mary W. Moore, of Kenova, W. Va., makes inquiry for information on the record of her grandfather, George W. Smothers, in the Confederate army. He was of Virginia and served in Manhone's Brigade. It is hoped that some surviving comrades can give the Company and regiment with which he served and something of his record.
