Zib Oliver, of Ratcliff, Tex., wants to hear from some surviving comrade who can help him establish his record as a soldier. He served in Colonel Bates's regiment, which was stationed at the mouth of the Brazos River and remained there until the war ended. He enlisted from Crockett, Tex.
