Anyone who remembers the service of Dr. O. R. Broyles, who first served as a private in the Confederate army and was then transferred to the Medical Corps, will confer a favor by writing to his daughter, Mrs. William R. Pouder Johnson City, Tenn. It seems that Dr. Broyles left the University of the State of New York some weeks before graduating, and served under Longstreet throughout his campaign in the valleys of Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee; was in the battles around Chattanooga, and thought to have been under Colonel Bratton. His full name was Oze Robert Broyles.
