James A. Wheeler, of Killeen, Tex., was a member of Company F, 23rd Tennessee Regiment, Bushrod Johnson's Brigade, and served in the Army of Tennessee until after the battle of Chickamauga, when Johnson's Brigade was transferred to Longstreet and operated in East Tenessee and Virginia; he was in the siege of Petersburg and surrendered at Appomattox. He is now seventy-seven years old and would like to hear from any comrades of the old company or regiment.
